About Me
I graduated from Texas Tech University in December 2009 with a journalism degree and English minor with a focus on creative writing.
I got my first job in April 2010 as a website and yearly directory editor. I was responsible for marketing, customer service, editing, company outreach, trade show booth designs, brand design and retention, and a number of other responsibilities. There I learned to wear many hats and multitask better than I knew possible!
Looking for new experiences and to broaden my work experience, I left my position as an editor and one week later was offered a job as a contractor. I currently work part time traveling the country to housing auctions where I ensure people are registered properly, work as a bid runner, and finally fill out contracts with those who bid on properties. It’s been a great experience to have the opportunity to work with all types of people from all over the country.
While at college I wrote for Tech’s newspaper, The Daily Toreador. I also worked with a start-up magazine and many other random publications and websites.
I interned at Lubbock’s newspaper called The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, writing for a branch publication called Frenship Today. I learned how to find my own story ideas and where to go for contacts in small communities and took many of my own photos and uploaded all of my articles to the website.

Mark,
Everything I’ve written for has had a Web site aspect, so absolutely. I’d love to do to some work for you and help you out in anyway I can.
Mia
I did end up rewriting Mark’s website for him and finished about one week before he passed away in November 2009 very suddenly. I’ll always be extremely grateful to Mark for the opportunity and the fact he found me on WordPress.
