Keeping busy.

Mia

Hi There!

My name is Mia, and I created MiaDallas.com.

Since graduating from Texas Tech University in December 2009 I’ve gotten an array of work experience.

  1. My first job out of college was as an editor of a website for REO real-estate professionals to market themselves. I learned much about the housing industry, editing and publishing, copywriting including designing marketing/promotional materials materials, customer relations for more than 1,000 people, and running a sales team,  - long story short – I learned how to multitask.
  2. Craving a new experience I left my job as an editor and was offered a job to work as a contractor at housing auctions where I was able to travel the country. I registered people for the auctions ensuring they had the  funds to back up their bids, acted as a bid runner during the auctions, and ultimately filled out contracts with the bid winners explaining their legal obligations and answering any questions.

I’ve worked and interned as a reporter at newspapers, been a reporter/editor/creative director at a start-up magazine, and written website content for a site that receives more than 4-million hits annually. I know AP style and understand the need for SEO in website content.

I truly enjoy working with people and creating new things. I’ve  also been a bartender and enjoy the nightlife. I’ve learned to work with all kinds of people under a huge array of circumstances. I’ve perfected my multitasking, patience, mediation, and yes – dare I say it – beer-pouring skills!
