Hi There!
My name is Mia and I’m available if you need a salesperson, copywriter, reporter, customer relations manager, marketing manager, trade-booth designer, editor, bid runner, or just a good laugh!
Since graduating from Texas Tech University in December 2009 I’ve gotten an array of work experience.
- My first job out of college was as an editor of a website for REO real-estate professionals to market themselves. I learned much about the current housing industry, proper editing, how to print a website into a yearly directory, to keep up customer relations for more than 1,000 people, run and create sales contests, copywriting including designing marketing/promotional materials materials – long story short – I learned how to multitask.
- Craving a new experience I left my job as an editor and was offered a job to work as a contractor at housing auctions, which is what I’m currently doing. I get to travel the country and meet new people. I make sure people are registered properly with the funds to back up their bids, act as a bid runner during the auctions, and ultimately fill out contracts with the bid winners explaining their legal obligations and answering any questions they may have.
I’ve worked and interned as a reporter at newspapers, been a reporter/editor/creative director at a start-up magazine, and written website content for a site that receives more than 4-million hits annually. I know AP style and understand the need for SEO in website content.
Okay! So there’s my professional excerpt of a few of my capabilities. I truly enjoy working with people and have a knack for writing. I’d really like a chance to do some 0n-camera and spokesperson work of any sort right now. I want the opportunity to do a little bit of talking for a living, or at least write about the talks I get to have!
I’m young, educated, confident and ready to take on new challenges.
I’ve also been a bartender and enjoy the nightlife. I’ve learned to work with all kinds of people under a huge array of stressful circumstances. I’ve perfected my multitasking, patience, mediation, and yes – dare I say it – beer-pouring skills while drunk people are yelling demands!
Simply, I’m looking for an opportunity to find my niche and, have some fun along the way.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my work! I hope to hear from you!
